
Sometimes art needs a recipe for creativity. My bookbinding class introduced me to a 30 minute stir to create this thick, creamy, sticky wheat paste. This concoction when mixed with pigments creates an interesting play of textures. These "paste papers" are used as cover designs for books. I had one fun afternoon at this Paste Paper workshop at Pensacola State. TIme just flew by as this new medium was pushed on the wet paper. I can't wait to see the designs make their new homes on handcrafted books...
