The holidays have rushed in. The anticipation of the new born king has brought a rebirth for me. I am bursting with ideas and seeking outlets to get the art out... So came the birth of Native Santa Rosan and it is dear to my heart. Native Santa Rosan is a celebration of everything local in my community of Santa Rosa County, Florida. We are so fortunate to have a blend of agriculture in the north, a milling town history in the center, and beautiful beaches to the South. All this wrapped in warm temperatures. Native Santa Rosan is expressed as linocut prints in a "Shrimp Boil," digital photography with the "Hay Fields" in Jay, FL, and with hand-drawn chalkboards at our annual "Halloween Bash" in Milton. To find the first home to display & sell Native Santa Rosan art, my husband and I installed a 3 wall real-to-life black chalkboard booth, #188 at Alyssa's Antique Depot. (cont.-) |

A Busy Elf...
The holidays have kept this elf busy. In my latest creation, "A Humble Awakening" on display at Artel Gallery, really sums up where I am in life. The 16 small photos depict many of my loves in our community. The photos are not static, you can play with them. That's what I am doing. I am playing with what I love. T.S. Eliot states in his poem, the Four Quartets: We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
I am on an exciting journey and doors are opening. Patience and prayer are delivering this artist a humble return to experience home like it was the first time. May you also find your rebirth at home this season.
