Conceptually, the captured images often speak of the brokenness of circumstances we have in life. Bruises are traditionally thought of as having a black or purple hue, then through time, bruises yellow and return to the owner's flesh tone. Sometimes cracks are surface and some run deeper. The sculptures also follow this dimension of brokenness; sometimes we are intact, holding things together and sometimes we just fall to pieces. Our problems can be multiplied and stand alone as one big beast. Deep down we look into the mirror and can own the circumstance, see it reflected back, but we ignore the needed change.
