| If you have never heard of letterpress, take a look at these videos to experience a love for this slice of Americana. Made famous in posters and newspapers, movable wood type transformed print communication in the early 1900's. Hamilton Wood Type began its production of wood type in 1880 from Two Rivers, WI. Fast forward to the end of 2012 and the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum were being forced from their original factory home of 130 years. These videos were taken on their last print day in 2012 at the original factory location. |
