Happy 4th of July! I am back at shooting portraits with the chalkboard back drop. I was able to set up at my church and take over 20 family portraits. It was a lot of fun. I learned lots. First, those boards are quite heavy - so a big thank you to my husband for doing the heavy lifting and trailer ride to the church. We set the boards up and I came back later that day to custom draw my idea from my sketchbook. We had some rain that just wouldn't end, so pictures had to be done inside. This robbed me of my planned natural afternoon light, but you have to make do! The kids really liked showing off in front of the board.
Enjoy my studies and ramblings on art... bookmaking, printmaking, sketchbooks, photography, and my love of my local stomping ground,
